Handful of garden in
the capital
My BA degree project is a book about community gardens. I learned a wide range of things about these gardens. I did a lot of research about how this initiative started and how it grew over the years. Community gardens, as an initiative, is a matter after my own heart, that’s why I choose it as my big project.
It’s an actual movement, as there are lot of garden works in the world, even in my home country, Hungary too. I choose a garden in the capital city, Budapest. I worked with the Rose Community Garden whom gave me space to document the life of these gardens.
I collected a lot of information about gardening from a professional gardener. It was a huge project for me to organise every fact, such as the history of community gardens, helpful tips for gardening, the workings of Rose Garden and making a book from these topics.
Before this, I have never done any kind of graphic designer stuff, so I started from the beginning. I learnt new programs, working methods, print settings and so much more.
But I’ve managed it.
And this was the beginning of my passion for graphic design.
